You mentioned earlier that some "beloved pets" were left in yards tied to trees. One wonders how "beloved" they were if they were left tied up in the yard during a thunderstorm, let alone a major hurricane.
And speaking of the people in the Superdome, where were the New Orleans officials? Why did Blanco refuse to let the Red Cross give food and water to the people?
